Making a Difference

The Corpsman Maxton W Soviak Memorial Foundation is dedicated to helping Veterans and their families live life to the MAX! By helping one Veteran or one family at a time we hope to make a difference. Our Veterans return home with battle wounds that may or may not be visible. These wounds may not just impact them but their families as well. Our goal is to provide additional support to Veterans and their families with experiences, adventure, and resources.

This can be a chance to reconnect with family, adaptive equipment to help resume a hobby or task once enjoyed, a service dog, or an adventure providing an opportunity to heal. Each year our Foundation will dedicate ourselves to a project we believe Max would be proud of. We encourage you to apply for our current initiative or make a request of your own.

2022 initiative

Research shows that trained service dogs can help reduce stress and anxiety levels, mitigate depression, ease social reintegration, provide comfort and restore confidence in affected Veterans. We encourage you to apply, or nominate a Veteran, for our current initiative. If our current initiate does not meet your need, we encourage you to apply with your own request. All applications will be reviewed and considered by the board.
